The geniuses at Carpet of Life have been inspired by the traditional weaving craft from Morocco called Boucherouite or Boucherwi. These rugs can be made of almost anything so now you can turn your outdated wardrobe into an original, colourful work of art.
The process is simple...cut (It's only a little bit and is explained on the website) and send a bag of your old rags to the address supplied. The women from six different villages in Morocco will conduct the transformation. You can follow your carpet's journey but essentially the look of the finished product is up to them.
Such a wonderful idea that builds pride amongst these Moroccan communities and keeps this craft alive.
